    Lenovo selects the most qualified applicant to fill an open role by reviewing candidates whose experience, skills, education and background best match the requirements for the opening. Here are the core steps of the recruiting process:

     

    • Resume Review: The recruiter and the hiring manager review and select the top resumes to move forward in the process.
    • Screening: The recruiter conducts an initial phone screen with a small number of selected candidates.
    • Interview: Candidates that pass the phone screen are connected with the hiring manager for a first interview. This interview can be either on the phone or in person. Depending on the hiring manager’s need, some candidates may be requested to participate in a second interview on site.
    • Selection Decision: The hiring manager and interviewers make the final selection decision.

     

    Lenovo’s online application system allows candidates to apply for openings directly or to sign in and create an account. Creating an account gives you full access to the Lenovo Careers site tools, including:

     

    • Personal Account Information: Candidates have the ability to add or edit personal information at any time, or update the access password.
    • Job Cart: Allows candidates to view position applications and reference them at any time, as well as view application status and review referral status.
    • Job Search Agent: Allows users to create agents to automatically search for Lenovo opportunities that meet selected search criteria.
    • Documents: Provides the ability to save and edit cover letters, resumes and additional documents to include with the application.

     

    Remember that managers have varying timeframes for making decisions. The entire recruiting process can take as little as 30 days but with international travel and business priorities, positions can also be open as long as 90 days. Once a recruiter has contacted you directly, you may contact them during the recruiting process for updates.
